This Privacy Policy explains how My Digital Human, Inc. (“My Digital Human,” “we,” “us”) handles your information when you use the My Digital Human app and these web pages (together, the “Service”). My Digital Human lets you create a live video AI twin of yourself, a digital human that looks and sounds like you, and lets other people talk with it on live video calls.
The short version
To build your twin, we use a live selfie and a short voice recording that you choose to give us. We treat your face and voice as biometric information, and we use them only to create and run your own twin.
Calls with twins are recorded. Everyone sees a recording notice before a twin call starts. Twin owners can watch replays and read transcripts and AI summaries of calls to their twin.
We share your information only with the service providers that run the app (listed below). We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
The Service is for adults 18 and older.
You can delete your twin, or your whole account, at any time in the app under Me › Account & Settings.
Account information. Your name and email address, and the sign-in method you choose (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email and password). If you use Sign in with Apple and hide your email, we receive Apple’s relay address instead.
Age confirmation. Your confirmation that you are 18 or older.
Face photo. A live selfie taken with your phone’s front camera when you create your twin. The app does not let you pick a photo from your library.
Voice sample. About 30 seconds of you reading aloud, recorded when you create your twin.
Consent records. Your agreement to our likeness and voice consent, including the version you agreed to and when.
Twin profile. Your twin’s name, image, bio, and whether it is public (listed in the Community directory) or private (reachable only by your invite link).
Documents you upload to shape how your twin answers questions (PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown or CSV files).
Messages you leave for your twin to deliver. Notes you ask your twin to say out loud to a particular person on their next call.
Reports and blocks. If you report or block a twin, we keep a record of who reported or blocked whom, the reason you picked, and when.
Support messages you send us, and TestFlight feedback if you are a beta tester.
Information created when you use the Service
Your voice during calls. When you are on a call, your microphone audio is streamed so the twin can hear and answer you. Your camera is not used during calls; it is used only to take your selfie when you create your twin.
Call recordings, transcripts, AI summaries and follow-up items. See section 3.
Twin memory. So a twin can remember earlier conversations with each person, we keep a memory of each caller’s past conversations with that twin. This memory is stored with the caller’s account.
Web searches during calls. When a question needs current information, the twin may send a search query based on the conversation to our search provider.
Call history and usage. Who called which twin, when, how long calls lasted, and how many call minutes each account has used.
Push notification token. If you allow notifications, Apple gives us a token for your device so we can send alerts, such as when someone talks to your twin. We do not collect your device’s advertising identifier.
Account identifiers. An internal user ID that ties your records together.
Basic technical logs. Our servers and hosting provider keep short-lived logs (for example, request times, error messages and IP addresses) to keep the Service running and secure.
We do not collect your precise location, health data, financial or payment information, browsing history, or contacts from your address book, and we do not use third-party analytics, crash-reporting or advertising tools in the app. These web pages do not use cookies or analytics.
2. Your face and voice (biometric information)
Your twin is made from your face and your voice. Some laws, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act and similar laws in Texas, Washington, Colorado and elsewhere, treat face geometry and voiceprints as biometric identifiers or biometric information. We treat the face photo and voice sample you give us, and the AI avatar and voice clone made from them, as biometric information under this policy whether or not a particular law applies.
Consent first. Before the app captures your face or voice, it shows a consent screen explaining what will happen, and you must tap “I Agree.” You confirm that the face and voice are your own. You can stop at that point and nothing is captured.
One purpose. We use your face and voice only to create, host and run your twin inside the Service, so that it looks and sounds like you on calls with people you allow to reach it. We do not use them to identify you, to verify your identity, or for advertising.
No training of general AI models. We do not use your face, voice or twin to train general-purpose AI models, and we do not allow our providers to do so under our agreements with them.
Who receives it. Your photo and voice sample pass through our servers to Anam, our video avatar provider, which uses them to build your avatar and voice clone and stores the result to render your twin on calls. We do not keep our own separate copy of the original photo or voice sample on our servers.
Never sold. We do not sell, lease, trade or otherwise profit from your biometric information, and we disclose it only to the service provider that builds and runs your twin, when you ask us to, or when the law requires it (for example, a valid court order).
Retention and destruction. We keep your avatar, voice clone and source capture only as long as you keep your twin. When you tap Delete My Digital Human & Start Over or Delete Account, we instruct Anam to delete them right away. In any case, we will permanently destroy biometric information when the purpose for collecting it has been satisfied, and no later than three years after your last interaction with the Service, whichever comes first.
Callers’ voices are not cloned. People who call a twin are recorded as described below, but we never create a voice clone or avatar from a caller.
3. Calls, recordings, transcripts and summaries
Every conversation on My Digital Human is a live video call with an AI twin or an AI persona. Before a call with another member’s twin or a featured persona starts, the app tells you the call is recorded and asks you to agree. Each call shows an “AI twin of [name]” or “AI assistant” label so you always know you are talking with AI, not a person.
Recordings. Our video provider, Anam, records calls so they can be replayed. A recording contains the twin’s video and the audio from both sides of the conversation. It does not include video of the caller.
Transcripts. After a call, we save a written transcript of what was said.
AI summaries and follow-ups. We send the transcript to Anthropic to create a short summary and follow-up items for the twin’s owner.
Who can see them. The twin’s owner can see who called, watch the replay, and read the transcript, summary and follow-ups. The caller can also see the transcript of calls they took part in. The owner gets a push notification that may include the caller’s name and part of the summary, which can appear on the lock screen.
Deleting a call. Either person on a call can delete it from Recents. That removes the conversation and its recording for both people.
Calls with Miles and twin setup. Miles, our in-app voice guide, and the guided setup also run on live AI sessions through Anam, and these sessions may currently be recorded by Anam as well. They are not shown to other members. To have these recordings deleted, delete your account or email us.
Because calls are recorded, please don’t share sensitive information you wouldn’t want the twin’s owner to see, and don’t let another person speak on a call unless they also agree to be recorded.
4. How we use information
To create, host and run your twin, and to connect live video calls.
To shape what your twin says, using your bio, the documents you upload, its memory of past conversations with each person, and web search results.
To show twin owners their call history, replays, transcripts, summaries and follow-ups, and to deliver messages you leave for your twin to say.
To send push notifications you have allowed.
To keep the Service safe: enforcing our Terms, reviewing reports, honoring blocks, limiting usage, preventing fraud and abuse, and protecting people from impersonation.
To provide support and respond to your requests.
To operate, secure, debug and improve the Service.
To comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not combine it with information from data brokers or other companies to build profiles about you.
5. What other people can see
Public twin. If your twin is public, any signed-in member can find it in the Community directory and see its name, image and bio, and call it.
Private twin. If your twin is private, it isn’t listed in the directory. Anyone you send your invite link to can call it, and anyone they forward the link to can too.
On a call. The caller sees and hears your twin. Your twin may share anything in your bio, your uploaded documents and its memory, so don’t give it information you want kept private.
When you call a twin. The twin’s owner sees your name and image and can see the replay, transcript and summary of your call. If you haven’t set up a name, the owner may see your email address instead.
6. Service providers we share with
We share information only with the companies below, which process it on our behalf to run the Service, and only as needed for that purpose. We require them by contract to protect it and not to use it for their own purposes.

We will not transfer your biometric information to another company as part of such a transaction unless the law allows it and the recipient is bound by this policy.
7. No sale, no ads, no tracking
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in California law. We do not show ads, we do not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
8. How long we keep information
Information
How long we keep it
Face photo, voice sample, avatar and voice clone
Until you delete your twin or your account, and never longer than three years after your last interaction with the Service
Account information and twin profile
Until you delete your account
Call recordings, transcripts, summaries and follow-ups
Until either person on the call deletes it in Recents, or either person deletes their account
Twin memory
Until the caller deletes their account. When a twin is deleted, no twin uses its memories again.
Uploaded documents
Until you delete them, your twin, or your account
Push tokens
Until you delete your account or the token stops working
Reports, blocks and usage records
As long as needed for safety, abuse prevention and legal compliance, which may continue after your account is deleted
Server logs
Typically about 30 days
After deletion, copies may remain briefly in our providers’ backup systems until they are overwritten, and we may keep information longer where the law requires it.
9. Deleting your twin or account
Delete your twin and start over: Me › Account & Settings › Delete My Digital Human & Start Over. This deletes your avatar, voice clone and twin documents.
Delete your account: Me › Account & Settings › Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, your twin, its avatar and voice clone, your documents, the recordings and transcripts of calls you were on (including calls you made to other members’ twins, which will also disappear from their Recents), the memory twins keep of your conversations with them, messages you left, push tokens and your sign-in. It cannot be undone.
Can’t get into the app? Email us from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
You can also withdraw your consent to the use of your face and voice at any time by deleting your twin. You can turn off notifications and microphone access in your iPhone’s Settings.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
know what personal information we have about you and get a copy of it;
correct information that is wrong;
delete your information;
withdraw consent, including consent to use your face and voice;
opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or of profiling (we don’t do any of these); and
appeal if we decline your request.
We offer these rights to all users, wherever they live. To make a request, email us at randy@mydigitalhuman.com with the subject “Privacy request.” We will verify your request by confirming it comes from the email address on your account, or by asking for information we already have. You can use an authorized agent if you give them written permission and we can verify it. We will respond within 45 days, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to your appeal within 60 days.
11. Notice for California residents
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from you and from your use of the Service, for the purposes in section 4, and disclosed them only to the service providers in section 6:
Identifiers (name, email address, user ID, push token)
Sensitive personal information: biometric information (face photo, voice sample, avatar and voice clone) and account login credentials
Audio and electronic information (call audio, recordings, voice sample, selfie)
Internet or other electronic network activity (call history, usage, server logs)
Inferences (AI summaries and follow-up items created from your calls, and your twin’s memory)
Other information you provide (bio, documents, messages for your twin, reports, support requests)
We use sensitive personal information only to provide the Service you asked for and for other purposes the law permits, and not to infer characteristics about you. We do not sell or share personal information, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing information of anyone under 16. Retention periods are in section 8. California’s “Shine the Light” law does not apply because we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
12. Adults only
My Digital Human is only for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will delete it, including any twin. If you believe a minor is using the Service, please email us.
13. Security
We use safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), keeping sign-in tokens in the iPhone’s secure Keychain, keeping our providers’ access keys only on our servers, and database rules that limit who can read and change records. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee the security of information. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
14. Where data is processed
My Digital Human is based in the United States. We and our providers process information in the United States and may also process it in the United Kingdom, the European Union and other countries where our providers operate. Wherever it is processed, we protect it as this policy describes.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If we make a material change, especially to how we use your face, voice or call recordings, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect and, where required, ask for your consent again.
